How parents can help their kid's learning during pandemic?

Parents' Role In Education During Pandemic

ARE PARENTS REALLY SUPPORTING THEIR CHILDREN’S LEARNING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC?

We all know how critical the situation is, how things were effected through the outbreak of the pandemic across the world, when all the routines for the survival have not stop, then why learning has to be stopped?

The gates of the school are closed, the classroom are silent and the playgrounds are empty. Parents teachers and caretakers are worried about their children's education. I don't think it is only a school's responsibility to take care your child's academy and the responsibility held only on teachers. Do you think only teachers should worry in finding different approaches to deliver academic program.

Yes, my dear parents you also play a vital role during this pandemic. Parents are first teacher from the moment child is born, you can play the role of being teacher and parent. Parents should feel it is an opportunity to engage with children during pandemic not only with their studies but also other sort of activities which strengthen bonding between parent and child.

I understand the stress what we are experiencing during this pandemic covid-19, I understand balancing work from home and household chores. you may be finding it difficult or boring to keep your children on track or helping them with assignments, homework, worksheets so on. If you support school, teachers and your kids, then definitely it would be easy for better learning. It is true that technology can't replace teachers, online classes may not completely effective, staring phone and tab may effect your child's eye sight but there is no any other option rather online classes. Even teachers trying their best to reach child's learning needs. As virtual classrooms are not as simple as plug-and-play, your attention is required. May be some parents are tech-savvy but it is not that too difficult to connect to virtual classes. The fact is virtual classes are possible, only with the whole-hearted cooperation of the parents. Let’s accept reality that the gadgets which were used by children for playing games, watching cartoons, and movies, are now used for educational purposes.

You can support online homeschooling through the coronavirus pandemic.

*Let’s not criticize the online classes and teacher's efforts
* Motivate child by creating interest.
*Coordinate with your child's teacher.
*Help child to organize the learning environment.
*Assist child with timetable to maintain learning routine.
* Monitor child's academic progress on daily bases.
*Ensure your child goes to sleep and wakes up at the same time each day.
*Please don't lose your patience when your assisting the child with their assignment and home-works.
*Follow-up with your child's attendance.
*Never yell at the child when child is not responding to you. so on.....................

Hence it is important for being a parent to communicate confidence, and optimism that we will pull through this pandemic together. We need to set goal for our children by prioritizing needs, and by giving personal attention. We need to Manage our own emotions will support our children stay focused on their learning till school reopens. Have a hope everything will be fine one day and your child need not to depend on virtual classes.
How long the school remain closed?

Hope is medicine for a soul that's sick and tired.
